I had a delightful stay at Melrose Guest House! The room was clean and cozy, equipped with a microwave and kettle, which made my stay so convenient. Wendy, the owner, was incredibly friendly and offered great suggestions for local attractions. The cozy guest house was just a short walk from the beach, making it perfect for leisurely strolls.
Could have used a proper chair.

The Standard Triple Room was clean and spacious, with a handy microwave in the room that made late-night snacks a breeze. The shared bathroom was spotless, and the vanity unit was a nice touch for getting ready in the morning.
While the location is superb for beach access, the shared bathrooms can get a bit crowded during peak times, so plan accordingly. I noticed some rooms had uncomfortable mattresses that could use a little TLC—which affected my sleep quality on the second night. The hallway could also use better ventilation due to a stale smell that lingered, but luckily, my room was quite fresh.

The guest house offered great cleanliness and the rooms were well stocked with tea, coffee, and fresh towels. Wendy's knowledge of local attractions made the stay even better. Free roadside parking was a big bonus, but the shared bathrooms, while clean, could be a bit busy at times.

A delightful stay with Wendy, who offered fantastic recommendations and made us feel right at home! The room was quiet and comfortable, and the shared bathrooms were clean and not problematic. The guest house is conveniently located near the seafront, providing easy access to shops and pubs!

The Standard Quadruple Room was super comfy! It had a lovely clean vibe with a microwave, kettle, and loads of utensils available. The bathroom was right there on the same floor, and it was spotless. Plus, the balcony was such a bonus for smoking! Wendy was so helpful during check-in, making everything easy. You could tell the place was well cared for.
